Fort Lauderdale Grande Hotel and Yacht Club Installs GoConcierge

Fort Lauderdale Grande Hotel and Yacht Club Installs GoConcierge

This weeks article was about the Grande Hotel and Yacht Club in Fort Lauderdale Florida, which just implemented a guest service operations system called GoConceirge. This makes it possible for a hotel with 589 rooms to check in all guests with just four people at the front desk. It comes with an online Guest Task Calendar, which is used to log in, and track guest stays and any personal requests they might have made. Names, information and rooms can be easily located and organized because it is color coded to make the check in process simpler and faster.
With only 20 employees at the hotel having access into the system, personal information is kept private. There are departments in the system, which are used to manage packages, lost and found items as well as valet service. If a package arrives, an employer will check it into GoConciege. When it is delivered, the system will know when it is received and a page will be sent to the hotel manager. GoConcierge ensures the guests staying at the Grande Hotel are provided with the highest level of service. "GoConcierge is the most efficient system in the industry right now to track requests and tasks," says Marcos Borras, director of Rooms at the property.
I think that the addition of the GoConcierge to a hotel of this size is a great investment to make. Although costly, the benefits a company will receive from a program like this will be very rewarding. I think one of the most important aspects this has is its user-friendliness. Because it is so organized by colors and pictures, it is easy to train new employees. It also makes it a very fast and efficient process to check in a guest. I also like how it can store information about guests’ previous stays. With this feature guests can feel appreciated with any personal touches the hotel staff can do to make their guests feel at home. If I were to stay at a hotel with a system such as the GoConcierge I would feel very comfortable that my personal information, like credit card number and social security number, were in the care of most responsible employers in the hotel. This system has many great qualities that I feel in this day and ages are pertinent to the success of a hotel of this size.

I think this sounds like a good project for the Fort Lauderdale Grande Hotel and Yacht Club. The fact that they'll be able to check in guests to 589 rooms with only 4 people at the desk seems crazy. It will certainly cut down on labor costs if that is the case. Though initially expensive, I think the opportunity cost of this venture is quite low. It will over time cover its start up cost. Also, being able to store guest preferences in the POS system is a great idea. This will help a guest to feel more comfortable and at home every time they return to this property. It will surely help to create repeat customers.

GoConcierge sounds like a very wise investment for large scale hotels. Any piece of technology which increases the personalization of the guest experience is worthy in my opinion. It also allows for greater profits in the long run through decreased spending in labor costs. I feel that this innovation will eventually become a standard. It is a user friendly platform that creates guest satisfaction by improving guest relations. The guest is more comfortable and the system is secure and organized. What else could the front desk ask for?

The GoConcierege that has been installed in Fort Lauderdale Grande Hotel and
Yacht Club is a very clever idea. Cutting back on the amount of front desk staff
will save the hotel lots of money and this also seems like a more efficient and
useful way to check guests in. With this system it seems that everything will be
very confidential and organized. The user-friendly aspect of the program will
be the best part. By allowing users to easily operate the system, things will go
more smoothly. If I were a hotel manager I would definitely implement this
program because it can manage such a large hotel, with only a few staff
member, in a timely and efficient manneryq
